What data we collect

When you log in with Battle.net, we receive your BattleTag, account ID, and region from Blizzard's OAuth service. We also retrieve your World of Warcraft character data (names, realms, item levels, weekly progress) via the Blizzard and Raider.io APIs. This character data is publicly available through those APIs.

We store a single session cookie (__Host-session) to keep you logged in. This is a strictly necessary cookie required for the service to function — it contains only a random session identifier, no personal data. Sessions expire after 24 hours.

Email & notifications

You may optionally provide your email address to receive weekly reset reminders and season update notifications. Your email is stored in our database and used solely for sending the notifications you opted into. We never share your email with third parties.

You can disable notifications or remove your email at any time from the notification settings page, or by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email. Consent timestamps are recorded for compliance purposes.

Legal basis

We process your Battle.net and character data on the basis of contract performance — providing the service you requested when you logged in. Email notifications are processed on the basis of your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Analytics & session recording

We use PostHog (EU instance) for product analytics and session recording. PostHog helps us understand how the tool is used and diagnose bugs. It stores data in your browser's localStorage (no tracking cookies).

Analytics and advertising are not enabled until you accept the consent banner. No tracking data is collected or stored in your browser until you make a choice. When enabled, your sessions may be linked to your BattleTag (if logged in) for support and debugging purposes. Session recordings capture page interactions but mask password fields. PostHog data is hosted in the EU and is not shared with third parties.

You can change your preferences at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage for this site — the consent banner will reappear on your next visit. You can also block analytics or ads using a browser extension.

Advertising

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on this site. Google uses cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your browsing activity.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info. Patreon supporters see no ads. Free-tier users may see contextual or personalized ads depending on their cookie consent preferences.

Data retention

Character data is refreshed each session and cached for up to 10 minutes. Session data expires after 24 hours. Your BattleTag, region, email (if provided), and notification preferences are retained until you delete your account. Patreon supporter status is synced via webhook and retained while your subscription is active.

Right to erasure

You may request deletion of all your data at any time via the “Delete my account” option in settings, or by contacting us at privacy@reset-ready.com. We will process your request within 30 days. Deletion removes your account, character data, email, notification preferences, and session recordings.
